Midlife is an amazing time for single women to date. We older women (Cougars) have the wisdom, experience, confidence, and independence that younger women simply don’t possess. I’ve re-defined the term COUGAR to mean a Confident, Older, Unique, Genuine, Assertive & Racy woman.

The need we fill is that we help people, including women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond, find jobs that are in line with their career paths, and that also offer work flexibility. And a subset of that group includes women who are looking to change careers because their priorities and/or interests have shifted. Flexible work options like telecommuting, flexible schedule, and part-time roles are an excellent option for women in midlife, and for anyone seeking better work-life balance.

You leverage your 30+ years of business experience to coach women and help them turn their passion into their business. Why is midlife a good time for women to consider launching a business?
Midlife is often the perfect time to launch a business because so many of the questions in your life have already been answered. At this stage of life women have more stability and more self-confidence and this spurs them to finally go after what they really want to do. I also think many women begin to realize that it can be more challenging finding the right job than creating your own job, especially one that allows you to follow your passion.
When she hit her 40s, Anne started to feel dissatisfied with the rat race of consulting, along with the material trappings she had accumulated. She sold it all to work and live in Haiti, helping grow Fonkoze, the island nation’s bank for the poor.
While she’d written articles for magazines and newspapers, Ann’s dream was always to complete and publish a full-length book. She made good on that goal with her newly-released work about the rich history of women’s self-education clubs in the US.
After moving from the US to Jerusalem, Nancy became a lactation consultant, but found the work lonely and the hours unpredictable. Getting her nursing degree has allowed her to care for mothers and babies while enjoying the teamwork of a hospital setting.
